Diagnosis Under Hematology

Hematology testing at Vcare Labs provides essential insights into blood health and helps diagnose a range of conditions, from anemia to infections and blood clotting disorders. Our advanced hematology services include comprehensive blood counts and specialized tests that deliver fast, accurate results, supporting healthcare providers in making informed decisions for patient care.

1. Complete Blood Count (CBC)

The Complete Blood Count (CBC) is a fundamental test that evaluates overall health and detects disorders such as anemia, infection, and many other conditions. Our CBC test provides detailed insights into the composition of blood, including measurements of red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets.

P030 CBC (Complete Blood Count)

2. White Blood Cell (WBC) and Red Blood Cell (RBC) Analysis

Our tests assess both white and red blood cell counts to help identify infections, inflammatory diseases, and bone marrow issues.

H043 WBC (White Blood Cell Count)

H036 RBC (Red Blood Cell Count)

3. Hematocrit and Hemoglobin Testing

  • We measure hematocrit (HCT) and hemoglobin (HGB) levels to evaluate oxygen-carrying capacity and diagnose conditions like anemia and dehydration.

  • H006 HGB (Hemoglobin)

  • H005 HCT (Hematocrit)

4. Red Blood Cell Indices

Our red blood cell indices provide further information on the size, volume, and hemoglobin content of red blood cells, helping diagnose types of anemia.
H025 MCH (Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin)

H026 MCHC (Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin Concentration)
H027 MCV (Mean Corpuscular Volume)
H038 RDW-CV (Red Cell Distribution Width-CV)
H039 RDW-SD (Red Cell Distribution Width-SD)

5. Platelet and Reticulocyte Testing

Our tests evaluate platelet count and size, along with reticulocytes, to monitor blood clotting and the bone marrow’s ability to produce red blood cells.

H035 PLT (Platelet Count)

H030 MPV (Mean Platelet Volume)

H041 RETIC # (Reticulocyte Count)

H042 RETIC % (Reticulocyte Percentage)

H040 RET-HE (Reticulocyte Hemoglobin Equivalent)

6. White Blood Cell Differential

Our WBC differential test breaks down the different types of white blood cells (neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, basophils, and immature granulocytes) to identify infections, immune disorders, and cancers of the blood.

H031 NEUT# (Neutrophil Count)

H032 NEUT% (Neutrophil Percentage)

H011 LYMPH# (Lymphocyte Count)

H012 LYMPH% (Lymphocyte Percentage)

H028 MONO# (Monocyte Count)

H029 MONO% (Monocyte Percentage)

H003 EO# (Eosinophil Count)

H004 EO% (Eosinophil Percentage)

H001 BASO# (Basophil Count)

H002 BASO% (Basophil Percentage)

H007 IG# (Immature Granulocyte Count)

H008 IG% (Immature Granulocyte Percentage)

7. Immature Platelet and Reticulocyte Fractions

These tests assess immature platelet and reticulocyte fractions to monitor bone marrow activity and platelet production, useful in cases of thrombocytopenia and anemia.

H009 IPF (Immature Platelet Fraction)

H010 IRF (Immature Reticulocyte Fraction)

8. Nucleated Red Blood Cells (NRBC)

This test identifies nucleated red blood cells, which are normally present in bone marrow but not in the bloodstream, helping to detect bone marrow disorders and severe infections.

H033 NRBC# (Nucleated Red Blood Cell Count)

H034 NRBC% (Nucleated Red Blood Cell Percentage)
